The prose is sophisticated enough to add class, but not so much as to weigh down this intriguing story. You might not always be able to predict the direction that Ancestors will take, but you’ll definitely want to hang on for the ride in this uncanny, international novel.

There’s nothing I dislike about the book. I loved how the author managed the elements of dreams and flashbacks without confusing her readers. The book was both historical and modern. Also, the author did good background research before writing the novel.

An intriguing yarn. . . The writing. . . shines when she delivers riveting procedural, conflict, and action in claustrophobic scenes of marital tension. . . An ambitious blend of gripping suspense and subtle supernaturalism.
